Coult was grounded in patent law and practice in GE’s prestigious Patent Lawyer Development Operation, developed deep patent prosecution skills at Polaroid Corporation, and matured in a wide range of IP law, practice, and management skills in fifteen years as General Patent Counsel of Zenith Electronics Corporation. In his consulting practice, IP Pro On The Go, he puts to use his wide IP experience, successfully completing special projects, overflow and other outsource work to help unburden understaffed and underbudgeted corporate IP Departments. Having experienced at Zenith the pressures of many department layoffs and budget cuts, he knows the importance of delivering highest level IP services at affordable rates. While leading Zenith Electronics’ IP function he initiated and successfully prosecuted one of the most successful patent licensing in the history of the consumer electronics industry, netting for Zenith more than $300 million in bottom line licensing revenues.
